The BTA Team Steps Up

On September 13th, the BTA team laced up their walking shoes and took on 10km for the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation on a beautiful spring afternoon in Brisbane.

With Alfie keeping the pace honest, the team moved well along the river and wrapped up in under two hours, celebrating with a well-earned drink at Felons. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday!

A special mention to Tracey, who completed her 10km from home, and to Sarah, who impressively knocked out her 10km while aboard a Pandaw cruise in Vietnam. Cocktail in hand, naturally.

The walk was part of a much bigger effort. Blue Dragon raised an incredible $350,000 for children and families in Vietnam with walkers across the globe. Blue Dragon works to rescue people who have been trafficked, provide crisis care and shelter, offer legal advocacy, and deliver long-term support to those most affected. They also work with communities living in poverty who are most at risk of exploitation, helping to keep children in school and out of harm’s way.

At Back Track Adventures, we believe travel is about more than the destinations we visit. It’s about the people we meet, the communities we connect with, and giving back where we can. We’re grateful to everyone who donated and proud to have played a small part in supporting such a meaningful cause.

Thanks to Intrepid covering 100% of administrative costs, every single dollar donated goes directly to supporting children and young people in Vietnam.

A fantastic afternoon, a great cause, and a reminder that a little effort from all of us can make a meaningful difference. 💙
