Make new friends. Share new memories.
Keeping our groups small means more focus on providing the best experience possible.
Choosing Peregrine means you’ll never travel with more than 15 other people.
Small groups are not only better for the environment, but allow you to get up close and personal with the people, wildlife and surroundings of each destination.
There’s also the chance to make new friends as you share stories, memories and experiences with other like-minded travellers.
When you join a Peregrine Adventures tour, you travel only with a small group. The maximum is just fifteen, which is small enough to avoid making a negative impact on the places you go and the people you meet, but large enough to have a good time with other travellers from around the globe.
We cap the number of people on a trip, so your group is never bigger than 16 people. It means we can stay in more interesting accommodation (try getting a bus-load of people into a Bedouin camp) and take more interesting transport (camel ride into the Sahara anyone?).
Travelling with a small group means that, in most cases, we can enjoy private transport. But sometimes we will use local transport when it adds to the authentic experience, whether it’s a camel ride in the Sahara, a rail journey on the ‘Eastern Orient Express’ in South East Asia, an elephant ride in Nepal or riding on horseback through the Andes.
Your tour will be led by a local, and you’ll often find that they’ve been born and raised in the places you go. In fact, we encourage our leaders to add personal touched to the ‘official’ program, so you might find yourself unexpectedly enjoying a brew of homemade tea or being invited to a Masai auntie’s home for dinner! Believe us, it happens!
We don’t want to show you the real world during the day, only to take you back to a generic, hotel chain at night. The Peregrine difference means that you still get all the creature comforts of home, with locally owned accommodation.
Our trips are run on a twin-share basis, so if you’re travelling alone we’ll arrange for you to share with someone of the same gender. You won’t have to pay a single supplement.
Many of our tours have scheduled departures that are guaranteed to run. Look out for the “G” symbol on our site to see which trips have guaranteed departures.
