It’s not too late to explore the Christmas Markets of Central Europe – Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Budapest, from $2195*
Leanne’s pick: Not one for planning too far in advance? No problem! There’s still availability (although only a few places on some dates) on the Christmas Markets of Central Europe tour! We’ll contrast the various traditions, cuisines and of course, mulled wine, in several amazing cities …
Munich‘s Christmas markets are probably the most famous of them all with its authentic Bavarian food, ale and music; then onward to Salzburg to the atmospheric Christmas market in Cathedral Square. The smells of gluhwein, roasted chestnuts, and cinnamon brushed baked apples waft through the marketplace, while the sounds of traditional Salzburg choirs fill the air.
Then we head to Vienna‘s Christmas markets which are as ornamental as its architecture – tonnes of hand-crafted toys, candles and paintings on offer.
Last but not least, jolly Budapest really embraces the Christmas spirit; take a walk through the streets to find every street, tree and market lit up in lights.
Departing regularly from late November and through December 2017, 8 days from $2195* plus your airfare.
