Naomi’s pick: History lovers and culture connoisseurs will delight in this eight-day exploration of France’s Norman villages, and D-Day and WWII military sites.
In Bayeux, we’ll begin with a lecture on the Allied invasion and visit a museum to view and handle WWII relics. Then we’ll board a WWII transport vehicle to visit Secqueville-en-Bessin War Cemetery and learn of the significance of poppies, the ultimate emblem of military sacrifice.
We’ll also stroll through Claude Monet’s evocative garden, marvel at the medieval city of Rouen, and visit the Paris studio of acclaimed National Geographic photographer and explorer Reza. Cap off the experience with two days in Paris to toast la vie en rose.
From $2699* for 8-days, we’re departing 8 May 2018 and then monthly through until October 2018.
