Catch up with the family: a Borneo adventure, 10-days from $3195*

Orangutans may be the closest relatives’ humans have from the animal kingdom according to two American scientists – Grehan and Schwartz – who claim we share at least 28 unique physical characteristics with them (yes, we always try to be a wealth of information here).

So, here’s your chance to catch up with the family! One of the last remaining wild places on earth, Borneo is also one of the world’s last two remaining homes to the orangutan.

This trip to Sabah and Sarawak takes you face-to-face with orangutans, proboscis monkeys and hornbills, plus we will visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. In Mulu National Park, hike through spectacular untouched jungle and visit Asia’s longest cave.

We’ll visit the Kinabatangan River – a bird-lover’s paradise – all eight of Borneo’s hornbill varieties are here, and we’ll see the endangered sun bears.

With three internal flights, spend less time travelling and more time taking in the wildlife.
